 | German terrestrial TV broadcasts it's stereo output in a different manner
to UK television. |
| This enables it to separate the 2 sound channels and as a result a
significant number of imported films and serials can be shown in their
original language on one channel and dubbed into German on the other
channel. To receive this output you need a multi-system/stereo TV and/or
video. |
| Normally it is only the 3 main "public" channels that do this ARD,
ZDF and the regional 3rd channel (in my
part of Germany WDR). As a result, in
addition to BFBS,
I have a lot more "English" (well, ok, mostly American!) TV to
watch than you would first expect from my cable. |
| I also have CNN, Euro-Sport
and BBC World
Service TV broadcasts in English on my cable system. |
To give you a flavour of these "extra" films, I've detailed a
fortnights worth below. If there is enough interest, I'll try and keep
this page up to date!

At the start of Fawlty Towers, there is a
warning that the program is unsuitable for viewers under 16! A warning
that is usually only reserved for late night soft porn or horror!......
I'm not sure which category it falls into?......... I'd have thought the
biggest problem would be old farts like myself laughing myself into a
heart attack!........
